GrooveWerx is the latest soul-grounded project from Horizon Tunes founders John and Geoff Boggess. Creative songwriter/keyboardist John and groove-making drummer Geoff have played music together for most of their lives. Their most recent album "Hip Joint" is getting streaming plays around the country. Early South Texas radio-play success of their original music for the duo's first group included opening shows for the Commodores, Kool and the Gang, Tavares, Zapp and KC and the Sunshine Band. Texas Monthly covered the double-vinyl release of "Magic Music-The Story of Horizon," an anthology of the band’s released singles as well as ten previously unreleased tracks, from Still-Music Records in Chicago. A new album featuring the GrooveWerx band members will be in production early next year.

The new group features a "gotta get up and dance" rhythm section paired with two dynamic vocalists---Julian Williams and Jen Christensen. Julian's huge range and gritty style gives off Ceelo Green vibes, while Jen honed her pitch perfect brand of smooth touring with cruise line production companies and at theme park shows. These two create smile creating harmonies and an engaging performance for each show. Bass player Mo Shabani is an international artist and guitarist Kal Rangel has worked with several groups before being invited to add his retro-R&B style to GrooveWerx.
